FunkyZine is a magazine style with stylish background,3 column, widget ready Blogger Template.
This was originally a Wordpress theme designed by ChiQ of wpthemedesigner.com
and I converted it into Blogger xml format for you guys!
Template installation help:
If you are a newbie, first install the template using the instructions here.
After installing the template successfully, you have to do a few things..
1. A *psd file of the header logo is packed with the template download file, open it with Photoshop and edit the logo text to your Blog name.
Once you completed editing it, save the file as *jpeg format and upload the image to any image hosting service like photobucket and copy the direct link to that image.
Next, go to Template »» Edit html and find this url
and change this above url in the template code with the one you just copied.
2.Edit the top navigation links.
Find this code and change the anchor text (Home,About,Pictures,etc) and write the respective links by replacing the YOUR-LINK-HERE3.And the final thing to do is to edit the feedburner url's.
Find this code and enter the respective links.
and Save the Changes.

It was hidden as it spoils the look of the template.. if u want it.. simply remove this code from the template:

}
and save the changes.

Hey kranthi, you should increase the height of you footer to fit well with Recent Comment widget. It is a bit ugly right now.

Great template. I have been working on getting everything right and ready to upload it to my blog, but noticed when I use widgets to display text or banner ads above and below the post area, the text only goes to the center and not all the way accros the post area, and I cannot get the banners to center using the html center command so they are all left justified. Any help would be wonderful.

Hi I love this theme so much! I'm using it now for my blog. I'm new at this and so far it looks great on Firefox, but on IE, Safari and Netscape - there are some formatting problems. Do you know what i should do to fix these? One of them is the white content box is "behind" the logo reflection image (Safari). On IE, the content white box doesn't even show up. What should I do? Hi TrintyJolie, The past image dimensions and the current image dimensions aren't the same. You changed the logo url correctly,in the same line, you'll see width:760px; height:36px; . Change it to your image dimensitions..ie width:547px; height:39px;

I changed it! Thanks! It looks better on Firefox, but IE (content box doesn't extend based on the length of text and the logo doesn't repeat underneath) :( Wow, you're really good at this stuff! Do you think it's just my IE and Safari setup that's messed up?
Hi Trinty, In that same line, you see no-repeat; tag, which is stopping it to repeat in IE. If you want to repeat it, remove that tag.

I was able to fix the margin on the left side of the posts.
I am having another issue though. The bullets, whether it be numbers or discs don't show up properly. Please let me know how to fix this.

I am using this great theme my blog. Just checking the code for the bug causing header image to repeat. I found an extra h1 code in the code. Remove it and its fine.
Try searching for " div id='header' ". Look at the code below this tag you will find double h1 tag surrounding the href='#'. remove the extra "h1" tag and you are done.

the theme is just gr8....searched like 100's of themes and found this 1 the best to use.....but theres 1 problem....the text in blog luks bit small....any way to make it big??

But there is one issue with it.. like u dunt provide Link o see Earlier Post.. SO what if any blogger have 100 post.. and his Front page is showing only 5 posts...
If u can add those " link for Previous Post " it will be highly appreciable...

Hello kranthi, I edited and uploaded the logo to photobucket successfully and added the link to html box as you explained. But I have a problem on that. I can see my logo twice at the place. i have the same problem with frenchy.
it shows a pic saying "BANDWIDTH EXCEEDED". i tried copying the image files from the photobucket account of funkyzine-template to mine and replaced the files in the edit html page accordingly. but the white background fell short, it only shows half of the content background.

I have this template too and it´s happening the same problem with the images. If you still have them, please, help! I love this template and didn´t want to change now...
You need to add a step to the theme setup where the people using the theme change all the images to version their hosting themselves. The bandwidth is being exceeded and the only way to solve it is for everyone to use their own copies of the images on different servers.

I like it a lot, but I tried to modify it a bit, to suit my blog better. And along came some questoins...
1) Is it possible to create another sidebar on the left side of the post-section? That would be really great, because it's kind of a mess with just the one on the right side.
I've followed several tutorials to try it out, but it was a complete mess.
2) Above my post-section I've placed a picture, a bit like a replacement-header. Above that picture, I want some buttons or some links like "home, about, contact, ...". How do I do that?
3) The date used to stand above my title, and now it's gone. Can I bring that back?
4) I know of some kind of "rate the post" system, where readers can give each post stars (up to five), to show if they like it or not.
But when I tried it, it just didn't show. Does this have to do anything with this template?
5) The corners of the post aren't round anymore, because the background is different. I can't photoshop them away (I've tried saving & uploading as a .jpg and a .gif file, but it didn't work). This question isn't as important as the other ones though.
I'm sorry to ask so much, but I've tried to figure it out myself, and I'd appreciate the help enormously. So if you've got the time and ideas/answers, it'd be super!
