Everyday so many readers leaving comments asking "How to install xml blogger templates?".
So, to make it easier for you, here is the complete tutorial on how to install blogger templates downloaded from this site..
1.First download the template and unzip the file using winrar or winzip. After extracting the file you will see a folder named Images(incase if you lost) and an xml file.
2.Now, sign in to Blogger dashboard and click on the layout.
3.Here is the important step, after uploading any new Blogger template, all of the previous widgets like your google adsense ads,text,profile,poll,etc etc will be lost.
So, to avoid this to happen, in this step click on 'edit' on all the widgets and copy the codes into notepad,etc.
4.Next, click on the 'Edit html' tab
5.You'll see an option to download the current template, so do it!
6.Just below that,there's an option of uploading new template.So, use the Browse button and upload the downloaded xml file(which we discussed in step 1).
7.Now, a message appear saying that your widgets are about to be deleted.Click on the Confirm & Save (no problem doing this because we already copied the widget codes in Step 3).
Now you successfully installed the template :)
Click on the 'Page elements' page now and add the codes that you copied in step3 using the 'Add a Page Element' option.
Note:The *Images(incase if you lost)* folder contains all the image files used in the template.
Daily thousands of template copies are downloading from this site.. so, in future if my server bandwidth exceeds, you may see images not loading in your sites.So, For this not to happen, Upload all the images to your own server..
Doing this is very simple, Click on the 'Edit html' and go through the template code and replace all the image links(starts with http and ends with .jpg or .gif or .png) with the direct image links you got after uploading the images to any Free image hosting service like photobucket,etc. and SAVE THE CHANGES.

Hi Shela, if you are starting a new blog.. you didn't need to follow the step 3.
Step 3 is only for those that already have a blog and if they previously added any widgets like google ads,etc.
When I try to view the page elements layout blogger sez something like this...
"Error interpreting blog template
No dictionary named: '' in: ['blog']"
I can't edit my widgets in page elements form

hi, just take it easy.. sign out from blogger.. and delete all your cookies and restart your pc and then try to upload it again.. it works!! :)

I too want to have more template options, but I have so much widget stuff from FeedBurner/ FeedBlitz/ Technorati and Ebooks I've written that I'm deathly afraid of losing all that hard work.... I'd hate to go back and add all that stuff by hand.

Due to over downloads and usage of the templates, the bandwidth has exceeded.So, the images are not appearing. The image files are provided in the download file.Upload the files to your own image server like photobucket,etc.
Is it possible to have the date of the post show up in full, like "Thursday, August 14, 2008" instead of just the time?

to use the above or any other template "revert back to classic template and then try usin the template .

I am new to this. In the directions it says to first sign into 'Blogger Dashboard' - I don't even find where that is? Can the templates work in Dreamweaver to edit? I tried to bring it in Dreamweaver but none of the images showed up. I have never done this before and am working on a Mac. Please let me know where to start. Thanks!!! :) Also, what is WORDPRESS? I have only starting hearing that this week.

I have just started blogging.
After seeing one of your post, I tried to add adsense ads in between blogs.
It worked successfully, but now ads which were showing initially on the right hand side disappeared. I worked out so many things but it is not coming out to be in right way.

I think your templates are great. I've looked on the Internet for others too and it seems like it's the in-thing to change one's template. However I notice that nobody ever comments on what to really do with all the terrific widgets one has already set up including LINK LISTS. Now, I have a site with about 40 different widgets - all running down the side of my 2 minima template. Including in this are a number of LISTS I have created which take people directly to articles on my blog which I feel are the best to read. BUT, if I install your templates as you say I should - even if I save all my widgets one by one, I will lose all these LINK LISTS. Each list has up to 20 different articles on it which I don't want to lose, or have to copy one by one. It will simply take too long. Is there ANYWHERE on the Internet where one can find EXACTLY what process to take to make sure everything including the LINK LISTS are all saved and safe - BEFORE tampering around with installing a new template - seeing the scary "Your widgets will be deleted" statement, and then finding one has lost everything? PLEASE HELP!

I think it's just a bug in photobucket. Just upload those error images to another host like tinypic.com

The .psd file is included in the template download file..
Change the 'Techlure' to your Blog name and upload the image to some image hosting server like tinypic and replace the current image url in the template code to the one you uploaded now..

1. there's only ONE column, not two
2. when i got to "page elements" in dashboard, i see several widgets, about 9 in all; yet, when i look at the page there's "featured video" and "text" and that's it.

Installation are all success even my custom editing on few added graphics. But the problem is that whenever i try to used my Domain Name on my blog url. The Existing Post are not aligned instead it goes out of the boundary and when i try to turn it back to normal blog url the post is correctly aligned.
