Download 'Charcoal' Xml Blogger Template:
Hello guys! Here I am back with another wonderful Blogger Template. I released a few Blogger Templates few days ago and found lots of people are using them! Thanks for all who downloaded my templates!
This theme was originally a Wordpress theme designed by Jinsona of web2feel.com.
Here is the screenshot of the 'Charcoal' Blogger Template
Please Follow the below Instructions below carefully:
»» First Backup your current template before installing any template.
Go to Template » Edit html » and upload the downloaded xml template file (first extract the file) using the upload button.
and after installing the template, you have to do a few things.
1. Changing the top navigation links to your desired links.
Go through the template code till you see this piece of codeand Change the Anchor text and the respective links (#)
2.Change the Blogger Date Format.(so it suits the design)
Go to Settings » Formatting
and choose the type as shown in the below screenshot and Save the Changes.
and the last thing
3.Chage the feed and Technorati links
Go through the template code and Find this code
and Change the # links with the corresponding links.. For example,change the first # to your blog feedburner url... like http://feeds.feedburner.com/bloggertricksdotcom,etc

If you want dropdown archieves,
1.Sign in to blogger dashboard
2.Click on the 'layout'
3.click on 'Add a page element'
and select the 'Blog Archieve' and choose the dropdown type and remove the existing archieve type .

I think your bandwidth is exceeding, as I can't see my header's image :( and those little buttons..

This probably sounds ridiculous, but I've tried to download your blog, and decompress it, but my computer security won't allow for decompression. I change the security settings, and I still can't access the xtml. Could you email me the code, or post it in a different format?
I very much like this template and I just downloaded it to my "Test Blog" I then realized I have dealt with your templates before (which I love) but have lost the pictures. Could you simply tell me how to do your template right.Where I do not lose the pics. Since they are already there I just don't understand. Hi, there is a small bug in this Charcoal template.
At the bottom-right of every post made using this template, there is the "TOP" link, but this is not correctly centered in the image itself. It is slightly under the image where it should be positioned.
I know this might not be such a big deal, but i wanted to help you improve it to make it perfect :-) Thanks for all your work. It is much appreciated.

Hello, The bandwidth for your photobucket account was exceeded, so I changed all of the image urls to be housed by my own photobucket account, but the HTML is not working properly. The heading is left with a large red space and the footing is not cohesive. Would you be able to tell me what it is I should do for the complete cohesive template to begin working again?

1) I'd like to put my "Archive" as one of the Top Navigational Link but am not too sure how to go about doing this. Any ideas?

Hellow! I love your template, but I have a bit of trouble with... The header picture is not there, do I need to upload it? And How should I do?

When I try to configure header in the Layout/Page Elemnts I check the box to have the image in place of the title and description. However, it still publishes the Blog Title over the image. Is it possible to not have the title appear?

hey, the "top" wording after each post doesn't align with the image. How can we fix this?

Hi everybody, I have a solution for the "TOP" that is out of place.
Go to:

padding: 1px 40px 6px 10px;
height: 25px;
font: normal 12px Verdana, Arial,
If you look at your "padding" and this one, you will notice that the 1st and 3rd "px" are changed in this one.
Basically, yours has to look like this one above.

To all the people moaning about the broken image links - you need to go through the HTML code (settings - Customise, Edit HTML ) and look for all the images ( jpg or gif files ) that have photobucket in the name.
You need to find another home for these images, that isnt limited like Photobucket. Get some webspace, upload them to Rapidshare, whatever.
Each of these image URLs need to be replaced. ALL of you are accessing the same set of images from Photobucket all day long, every day, with your blogs.
If this seems like a lot of work, think how long it took to make the whole template.

hello! FANTASTIC template. I just have a few issues that need fixing but I can't seem to get them:
1. A few of my dates do not show (I have changed the date header format as instructed, but a few still don't show)
2. On my sidebar, my blog list widget gets weird right under my categories widget

I think you uploaded all the pics to your own hosting..messed up with the url's ..you placed one image url inplace of another one in the css code.
Pls.. see the demo of template and check the image urls one by one to make sure you placed the correct url's.
